I just tell people "I'm from Mars" and leave it at that. Soemtimes my hubby tells them I "lived under a rock" growing up.
I remember the first time I heard Metallica... oh my god!! The first time I saw Star Wars!!!
I think I spent the first year glued to the tv. I watched everything. I watched little kid shows, discovery channel stuff, news, whatever. I would watch 2-3 shows at once. I listed to music that I didn't even like, just so I would know what it WAS.
8 years later and I'm still playing catch up. I just watched the Wizard of Oz for the first time.
And yeah, there were tons of Celebs that I didn't even know about. I remember meeting Pricilla Presley and being like "who?" She was just some lady I knew. Same with Tom Cruise's family, I mean he was just "Cass Mapother's brother" to me. I wouldn't recognise them as anyone to freak out over.
We ARE aliens. We just have to get used to Earth because there is no going back.
