All Americans who are former Scientologists and Ex Sea Org should count their blessings today that we live in the land of the free!

Some of lived through some dark days when we didn't have the freedom to choose or even to communicate on an open forum like this one.

I know I will be raising a glass or two today to the freedom that I now have.

Don't take it for granted.

Let's also not forget those who fought to keep us free. This 4th is bittersweet for me. My daughter gets deployed in less than a month! I know she'll be OK because she's got a head on her shoulders, but many kids came home the wrong way.
